Description
Country Manager responsibilities are:
• Regulatory & Compliance: Fulfill all regulatory requirements, including obtaining Customs &
Excise approval, registering as a taxpayer, securing VAT compliance, etc.
• Business Setup: Identify location, renovation, setting up utilities, signage, vehicle acquisition or
importation, coordination of launch day, etc.
• Operations Management: Organize daily operations, ensuring efficient cargo management,
customer service, and regulatory compliance while meeting performance goals.
• Staff Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams, fostering a positive and
productive work environment.
• Customer & Market Engagement: Engage local marketing professionals, explore opportunities
for growth, and address customer satisfaction.
Country Manager requirements are:
• 3+ years’ experience of working as a manager in a heavy operational environment. Experience
working within the Jamaica market is preferred.
• Significant experience with modern management techniques and best practices.
• Good knowledge of the Courier industry and the various rules and regulations.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to work in fast-paced, evolving environments and to adjust strategies to meet
market conditions.
• Strong organizational skills with results driven and customer focused attitude.
• Good leadership and human resources management skills.
• BS/BA in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field. Advanced degrees
are a plus.
